I built this using Django and Channels for the WebSocket layer. I wanted to see if I could make a strategy game that felt as snappy as a desktop app but lived entirely in the browser.The hardest part was handling the game state transitions in Redis to ensure that moves felt 'instant' even with a bit of network jitter.I'm aiming to make this a legitimate alternative to Chess for people who want a shorter, more accessible strategy loop.
