Profile

Hi HN,I built a small web tool called Readspeed that lets you try RSVP-style reading (one word at a time) using your own text or PDFs.There’s no signup and it runs entirely in the browser — minimal client-side processing, no backend required. I originally built it for myself after seeing a few viral RSVP demos and wanting to test the idea on real reading material (long documents, books, articles). It’s intentionally early and minimalist: • Paste text, upload documents (PDF, EPUB), or read from a link • Adjust speed • Read in RSVP mode • Works offline in the browserI’m curious to hear: • Does this actually help you read longer material faster? • Where does it break down (comprehension, regress

Within the show hn launch space, the company focuses on its core offering rather than a broad product line.
