Hi HN, I'm excited to share a personal project that I've put a lot of love into.This is Orrery[0], a Three.js-based visualization of our solar system. It allows the positions of the major bodies to be played and scrubbed through the years 1950 - 2050, with optional orbit path displays and various other visualization options.The data comes from NAIF SPICE - a framework and set of open-source data kernels containing highly detailed space geometry data.I was inspired to set out on this project when learning that NAIF SPICE, originally written in Fortran and C, lacks highly standardized JavaScript bindings.
