Profile

I was recently thinking about mixtapes.Mixtapes were like a personalized way to discover music, free of algorithms or AI. If I wanted an introduction to a band or genre my friend loved, I'd ask them for a mixtape. Or I might get a mixtape from a cutie and discover a whole new kind of music.MixPal is a tiny, federated mixtape sharing service. The idea is: log into MixPal with your Fediverse account (Mastodon, GoToSocial, Pleroma, etc.). Ask the Fediverse for a mixtape. The bot will boost your request, and maybe someone will be inspired to reply with the perfect playlist.MixPal is brand new, so it will cherish your follows, requests, and replies!Happy to chat about the technical decisions here
