Profile

Hi HN,I’m Eslam, a software engineer and product builder based in Munich. After being laid off from Workday earlier this year, I realized how isolating and shameful layoffs can feel, even though they are more common than ever. That’s why I built LayoffStory, a safe space for people to anonymously share their layoff experiences, support one another, and reduce the stigma. You can: • Share your own story (anonymously or not) • Upvote stories that resonate with you • Comment or show support (“This helped me”, “I relate”) • by tags (industry, region, etc.)I’m looking for brutally honest feedback. What do you like? What is confusing? What would you improve?I built it with React, Supabase, and Tailw

The company sits in the show hn launch segment, where it competes on its core product or service.

Its current recorded stage is Show HN launch.
