Hi HN! We’re VRN Comics (https://www.vrncomics.com/), creator of Hackers: Superheroes of the Digital Age, the world’s first hacker comic. In a nutshell:- Hackers are depicted negatively in mainstream media, with lots of misinformation and stereotypes. It’s common to see hackers cast as hoodie-wearing criminals or misanthropes, who execute hacks unrealistically. A classic example is the movie Swordfish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Ds9CeG-VY- This comic was created with the infosec community in mind, to break down such stereotypes. The storyline features a hacker vigilante as the hero, and all hacking scenes — from social engineering and firmware hacking — are portrayed as they’d happen i

Hackers is positioned in show hn launch, a segment that rewards a clear, focused offering.

It is recorded at the Show HN launch stage.
