I wanted a simple snippet manager that syncs with github, supports markdown and has the ability to add metadata to the saved snippets. I couldnt find one tool which had all these features so decided to build bytelog.some of the key features are -- snippets are organized by languages and tags - supports markdown - each snippet can have metadata like a small description and/or external links for reference - this also supports markdown - github gists import/export - snippets can be downloaded as markdown files.
