Despite the push towards automation, a lot of the work done around the world is unavoidably done by humans. This causes back pain, reducing productivity and causing serious injury. ArmasTec is a deep-tech startup incorporated in late 2021. It is set to relieve the problem of back pain and muscle injuries in the workplace by merging clothing and technology. Our product, the AireLevate, is a fabric-based pneumatic exosuit that helps with heavy lifting and manual work. It’s driven by patented fabric, air-regulated muscles that reduce the load on the lower back by 55%. It costs less than a worker’s monthly salary and weighs 1.5kg. Our suit is 2x as effective, weighs ½ as much, and costs 1/5 as much as metal suits. It’s the culmination of 5 years of work Future versions will include add-ons that support the rest of the body, and sensor modules with an integrated productivity platform. ArmasTec is set to conduct pilot deployments logistics companies in June 2023 and has received 4 POs. Meanwhile, it will also partner up with a major healthcare network to roll out the AireLevate to the healthcare market.
